Here, Now and Then 2020/1

In 2020, due to the worldwide pandemic, I returned to Taiwan. For the very first time I painted in the light and daily life of Taiwan. It was quite some time ago that I had a longer stay back home. The changes in the daily scenes and landscapes have given me a chance to contemplate on time, including those moments of loved ones, changes in the past and present, clear and blurred memories as well as material or non-material traces. Searching from these clues, I look into the connections between writing, language, and memory, trying to understand those moments that have become past.
