“Moss and Pitchforks”
Installation view at “Leaving Space”, Amstertdam
I see there is something common in charcoal and time: both are swift yet tend to accumulate. A voice tinkles: " Collect our time. " This work is from a drawing series which are inspired by scenes captured in Vancouver during a stay of a family trip. Different from making sketches directly on site, I would like to underline the sense of delay which slowly reconstructs the perceived moment. It seemed to me that memory is never a flat surface. With different standing points, one sees never the same moment but various reflections framed yet by another time and space.
